Lowe's Motor Speedway was designed and built in 1959 by current chairman O. Bruton Smith. The lighting system was installed in 1992, allowing Lowe's Motor Speedway to be the first modern superspeedway to host night auto racing.Three NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series events, two NASCAR Busch Series races and a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event are among the major events held on the 1.5-mile superspeedway.Other events on the various tracks include a weekly, nationally televised short-track series for Legends Cars, Bandoleros and Thunder Roadsters; World Karting Association regional, national and international races.

Bank of America 500
The Bank of America 500 is a NASCAR race that is hosted annually at Lowe's Motor Speedway in the United States. The race usually happens in the month of October, and is 500 miles long. Prior to 1966, the race was a 400-mile event.Round five of the 10-race Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, the Bank of America 500 is sure to play a pivotal role in deciding the series championship. This 500-mile classic will once again run under the lights on Saturday night!

Additional Options Available
PIT PASS - $95.00pp
- Pre-Race: Admission to the pit area from the time gates open until one hour before start of race.
- Must be 18 years old: Picture ID and proof of age required to pick up Pit Passes.
- Dress Code: No shorts, tank tops or open toe shoes. Dress code is enforced.
- "HOT": Pit area is "HOT" during race, practice & qualifying. Only working personnel admitted.
- Garage: Garage access is controlled by NASCAR.
- Qualifying: No Pit admission during Qualifying.
- Pick-Up: Coupon will be mailed; exchange coupon for Pit Pass at Pit Pass Trailer at Gate 4.
- Autographs: We do not know when drivers will be on pit road. We can not guarantee autographs.

Day 1 - Departs Frederick at 7:45am and Hagerstown at 6:30am, with one stop for breakfast on your own. Check-in to the hotel in mid-afternoon. Then we’re off to the race under the Friday night lights. Dinner on your own at the track.
Day 2 – This morning, enjoy breakfast at the hotel. There is some free shopping and relaxing time before we leave for the race in Mid-afternoon. Getting to the track early, we’ll be able to enjoy all the Pre-Race festivities at the track. Dinner on your own at the track. Don’t forget to purchase your PIT-PASS.
Day 3 – Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the ride home.
