The land of beginings, some call it. This is where England first attempted to colonize the Americas, with disatrous results for the 'lost' Colony. The Wright Brothers defied gravity from a sandy dune not far from the windswept beach and brought mankind into the aviation age. We'll explore the best attractions of the Outer Banks, from gardens to lighthouses, museums to dinner theatre. This jam-packed getaway is sure to start your summer off on the right foot.
Day 1- Today we will begin our journey to Outer Banks of North Carolina. We will make stops along the way for breakfast, lunch and dinner on your own. We will arrive late evening and check into our hotel.
Day 2- Enjoy a continental breakfast at the hotel and meet our Tour Guide for today. We then depart and stroll through the majestic Elizabeth Gardens with a variety of wildflowers and indigenous shrubs and trees, period furniture and a garden statuary. Next walk to the Fort Raleigh National Historic Site and The Freedman’s Colony.
We will then go back on the bus to the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island and learn about the Outer Banks and its coastal environment.
Next we will have lunch and shopping on the waterfront in Downtown Historic Manteo with one of a kind boutiques, art galleries and cafes. After lunch and shopping, we will group at the Roanoke Island Marshes Light and the North Carolina Maritime Museum –George Washington Creef (working) Boat Shop. This offers you a glimpse into maritime history of the island and view an authentic shad fishing boat. Our next stop is Roanoke Island Festival Park where you will embark on a 69-foot sailing vessel Elizabeth II and meet colorful characters and gain new knowledge of the Native American people.
We will be stopping by The Shipwreck Shell House to find one of a kind souvenirs.
We will then return to the hotel for rest and time to enjoy the Atlantic Ocean. For dinner we will hit a local seafood restaurant and visit The Waterside Theatre where we will start a backstage tour of The Lost Colony and experience this outdoor play.
Day 3- Enjoy a continental breakfast at the hotel before we depart for a long journey. We will travel through Cape Hatteras National Seashore where we will see Bodie Island Lighthouse, Chicamacomico Life Saving Station, Pea Island Wildlife Refuge, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, catch a Ferry and see Ocracoke Lighthouse, Banker Ponies, and much more! Take the Ferry back to Hatteras Island and enjoy a group dinner at The Captain’s Table or Diamond Shoals located in Buxton Village.
Day 4– Enjoy a continental breakfast at the hotel before we depart north to the Village of Corolla. First we will stop at Currituck Beach Lighthouse at Currituck Heritage Park and climb the only lighthouse in North Carolina that is still housed in its original structure. Next walk over to The Whalehead Club and visit a restored historic house museum built in 1925. Lunch and shopping will be in downtown Duck, NC and then we will visit Wright Brothers National Memorial located in Kill Devil Hills and see where the Wright brothers changed the world forever as their powered airplane skimmed over the sands of the Outer Banks for 12 seconds before returning to the ground. We will then venture over to Jockey’s State Park and witness flight as it is still practiced today and see the largest living sand dune on the East Coast and a hang gliding demonstration. If time permits, we will head over to Tanger Outlet Center in Nags Head to buy from over 25 name brand designers. As our journey from the barrier islands end, we will head to the Outer Banks Music Showcase located in Kitty Hawk.
Day 5– Enjoy a continental breakfast at the hotel before we depart early today for our journey back to Maryland. We will make stops along the way for breakfast, lunch and dinner on your own. We will arrive home late evening.

Trip Cancellation: Pays lost deposits and tour payments due to unforeseeable sickness, injury, or death of you, an immediate family member, traveling companion, or business partner, inclement weather conditions causing delay or cancellation of travel; your home being made uninhabitable by fire, flood or similar natural disaster, vandalism, or burglary; your being subpoenaed, required to serve on jury duty, hijacked, or quarantined; being involved in or delayed due to an automobile accident en route to departure location. Waiver fee is not refundable.
PRE-EXISTING CONDITION EXCLUSION WAIVER:
If waiver is purchased with your reservation, the Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion will be waived. This is applicable to all coverage's contained in the waiver. You must be medically able to travel when you pay your waiver fee. In the event that a claim is filed, the injury or illness must be substantiated to the Claims Department.
This waiver must be purchased no later than your final trip payment date.
PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITION EXCLUSION APPLICABLE TO ALL COVERAGES:
This waiver will not pay for loss or expense incurred as the result of injury, sickness, or other condition of you, a traveling companion, or immediate family member of you or your traveling companion which manifests itself during the 60-days immediately preceding and including your coverage effective date, unless the condition is controlled through the taking of prescription drugs or medication and remains controlled throughout the 60-day period. A sickness has manifested itself when medical care, treatment, or diagnosis has been given.

Non-Waiver Refund Policy:
A cancellation notice must be received 45 or more days prior to departure date for single day tours, in order to receive a refund. A refund will be issued less $10 processing fee per seat if cancellation is received 45 or more days from the date of departure per seat cancellation; from 45 days to day of departure, refund less $10.00 per seat fee can only be issued if seats are resold or cancellation waiver is purchased. In order to resell seats, trip must be sold out. NO SHOW on the day of departure mean NO REFUND! All monies due on day of departure will be charged to customer's account. No refunds are made for tickets to Broadway plays, sporting events, or other special entertainment – events for which admission Kewl must purchase tickets. Waiver Fee is non-refundable.
